Conditions of entry and residence regime
Romanian citizens do not need visa to travel in Greece. Entry in Greece is allowed with passport or identity card valid at least 6 months of their arrival in Greece.

Obtaining residence permits
In accordance with legal provisions, Romanian citizens who wish to stay in Greece more than three months should contact local authorities for obtaining a residence permit / residence.
Residence permits issued by the Greek authorities are:
Residence permit for studies;
Residence permit for employment;
Residence permit for independent economic activity;
Residence permit for family reunion;
Residence permit for athletes and coaches;
Residence permit for executives, managers and insurance companies;
Residence permit for cultural, artistic, etc..;
Residence permit for other reasons
Documents required for obtaining a residence permit are:
application filed with the municipal mayor or local, to be the reasons underlying the request;
copy of passport / identity card;
documents from the workplace;
account statements proving the possibility of maintenance;
existence of a living space;
birth certificates;
marriage certificates and other supporting documents.
Procedure
In Greece, Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization is the authority that manages the migration problem.
Residence permits are granted, renewed or revoked by the Secretary General of the Region, the Local Commission proposal for Immigrants.
Municipal Commission examines the request and submit local services for foreigners who analyzes the request and sends, approved positive or negative, the Local Committee for Immigrants. Local Committee for Immigrants presents, finally, file the Secretary General of the Region, which shall decide whether or granting of rights of residence of foreign nationals.
Fees
Applications for residence permits submitted by citizens of the member EU are exempt from additional charges, paying only the fee for issuing the residence permit.
Terrorist threats
Terrorism is a global phenomenon, nonlocalized, or Greece can not therefore be excluded from these threats.

Safety and crime
Greece is a country with low crime levels.
Minor crimes such as theft of their pockets, swindling and theft of cars can occur in crowded areas (stations, stations, parking lots, shopping centers, gas stations and service areas on motorways).
General recommendations:

Health insurance is compulsory in Greece.

This card will allow you to receive necessary medical care during your temporary stay in any EU country.

Be sure to have additional medical insurance to be valid in all countries. On the basis of such insurance, optional, you have access to emergency services both in public health, and private (depending on the type of the insurance policy). Auto Traffic Conditions
Circulation car:
